PriSeal™ Ruspert Polymer Coating
Without Priseal Coating Protection
None can destroy iron but its own Rust can!
Time heals everything apart from corrosion.
THE COST OF CORROSION?
Corrosion significantly affects the structural integrity of the construction. Premature deterioration or failure results in greater maintenance, repair, and replacement of damaged equipment. Besides this, costs also escalate, due to lost production hours and increased downtime of equipment; all arising from corrosion problems. Talking of cost, in India, the cost of corrosion has been estimated to be 3% of its GDP and that the roofing industry, in particular, incurs a loss of no less than Rs. 360 crore annually
Why to affect our environment?
Corrosion is a natural process that converts a refined metal into a more chemically stable form such as oxide, hydroxide, or sulfide. It is the gradual destruction of materials by chemical and/or electrochemical reaction with their environment
Causes of Corrosion
Metal corrodes when it reacts with another substance such as oxygen, hydrogen, an electrical current or even dirt and bacteria. Corrosion can also happen when metals like steel are placed under too much stress causing the material to crack
Why Fastener Corrosion Protection is Important
Protect your most valuable asset against the harmful effects of corrosion. While the fastener you choose will be the smallest expense in putting on a roof, spending a fraction more will save you from expensive fixing costs, structural failure of the roof construction, water entry, and rust that ruins the look.

WHAT IS PriSeal™ RUSPERT POLYMER COATING?
PriSeal® Ruspert Grey finish is a high-grade, non-organic, tri-layered Polymer surface coating developed to attain optimum performance in the various pollutive and atmospheric conditions that cause corrosion.
SURFACE TREATMENT OF PriSeal™ RUSPERT POLYMER COATING
It consists of three layers:
The 1st layer: a metallic zinc layer.
The 2nd layer: a high-grade anti-corrosion chemical conversion film.
The 3rd top layer: a baked polymer top coating.
Mechanically Polymer: An applied coating that is zinc with a minimum of 20% tin in accordance with Australian Standard AS3566.2. In the ASTM B117 salt spray test at 1,000 hours of exposure, fasteners with the Class 3 coating exhibit average red rust of less than 2%.
CLASS 3 Coating Series: For general external use in mild and moderate industrial and mild marine Applications, classified in accordance with ISO 9223 Category 3.
PriSeal™RESISTANCE PERFORMANCE
If you want a fastener with high performance, a corrosion-resistant coating that won’t let you down, consider these benefits:
-
Salt Spray Test Certificates (ASTM B117) for 1000 Hours.
-
7 Cycles of Kesternich Test in accordance with DIN 50018. (Condensing the atmosphere containing Sulphur dioxide at level SFW 2.05.)
-
Relative Humidity in accordance with ASTM D2247 for 1000 Hours.
-
Test Cycle of 4 Hours of Ultraviolet Radiation as per ASTM G154 for 2000 Hours.
-
Acid Resistance [ASTM D-1308] Upto 320 hours
-
Coating Contents Zinc 60-65% or Tin 20-30%
-
Coating thickness layer- Mechanically Polymer plating to min thickness of 30 µm
-
Improve Drilling Speed.
-
Minimal risk of coating damage during installation thanks to new, tougher coating formula.
-
Better driving performance because of a smoother, harder finish.
Primus™ Fasteners are easily recognizable by their grey appearance. Primus™ Fasteners should be used for general external use in mild and moderate industrial, and mild marine applications.
Designed to conform to AS3566 Class 3, real-life atmospheric testing has confirmed that the performance of PriSeal™ Ruspert Polymer Coating far exceeds the standard!
